Here are some BMI ranges that tell you about your body status. So, here are 4 ranges like;

 Normal weight

 Overweight

 Obese

You are underweight if your BMI is less than 18.5. If you fall between 18.5 to 24.9 BMI then you have a normal or a healthy weight. If your BMI range is between 25 to 29.9 then you fall in over weight category and if your BMI value comes 30 or greater, then it means you are an obese person and it is an alarming situation.

How to calculate BMI/How to check BMI

 So now, here is the most important and much awaited part of the article which is how to calculate BMI anywhere easily by yourself. For this you should weigh yourself on any standard weight scale or weight balance and keep in mimd that  the weight should be in Kilogram unit. After getting the value of your weight you should measure your height through a stadiometer or any other scale and the value of height should be in meters. Now put both these values in the BMI formula which is

          BMI = kg / m2

Put your weight above in the kilogram slot and put your height below in the m2 slot then take the value which is your BMI.

Practical

Now, let’s calculate a random BMI as an example; the weight is 70 kg and the height is 1.8 m. Putting these values here in the formula,

BMI = kg / m2

= 70 / (1.8)2

BMI = 21.6

 Here, we have calculated the BMI of above added weight and height which is 21.6 and this value of BMI falls in the normal range of weight. Using this method, now, you know how to check BMI value and can plan your weight management accordingly. Isn’t it an easy way!
